Congratulations on your new computer! Below are a few guides that you may find useful as you begin using your new technology.
Logging In
Desktop computers that are setup by TSO can be logged in to using your GT username and password.
On Apple laptops an account will be created for you using your First and Last name or your GT username. The password will be provided to you, but we encourage our users to change the password after they log in.
If you are logging in to a Windows laptop for the first time, please follow this guide - Logging in to a Windows laptop using VPN. After the initial login, you will be using your GT username and password.
VPN
Many College of Computing and Institute resources require VPN.

Printing & Copying
Mopiers provide copying, printing, and walk-up scanning functionality. There are mopiers throughout each building in CCB, KACB, and TSRB available for CoC faculty, staff, student employees, and graduate students performing Institute-related research (to include non-CoC GRA's performing Institute-related research for the College, upon request). In Coda, the office of the Executive Vice President supplies mopiers on each of the floors. More information about printing and copying can be found here - Printing
System Backup
TSO provides Code42 client software licenses to CoC faculty, staff, and student employees to backup GT-owned mobile computing devices, such as laptops, tablets and phones. Learn more about using Code42 Cloud here - Using Code42 Cloud
Collaboration
In addition to Office365, Georgia Tech provides access to a few additional collaboration tools, depending on your needs. These can be used by all Georgia Tech students, faculty and staff -
Dropbox - for individual or group file sharing
Webex - video conferencing
Webex Teams - group chat
Endpoint Management and Security
Georgia Tech has licensed Endpoint Management software to assist IT groups on campus with managing GT owned equipment. While no user action is required, if you wish to learn more about the software used to manage your machine, additional info can be found here - Endpoint Management
