OIT has announced that they will upgrade Buzzport and Banner Xtender between 5:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2009, and 5:00 AM, Monday, March 23, 2009. This will affect users of those systems. For full details, please see the message below.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?
1. The BuzzPortportal will be upgraded to its
latest releaseversion (4.1) and will be
integrated withMy GaTech (Zimbra Collaboration System).
2. The BannerAdministration Xtender Imaging
system will beupgraded.
WHEN IS THE UPGRADE HAPPENING?
1.Buzzport:
- On Friday,March 20th at 5:00pm, the Buzzport system
will beunavailable for user access until Monday,
March 23rd at5:00am.
2.Xtender:
- On Friday,March 20th, 3:00 PM, the Administration
XtenderImaging system will be unavailable for users
access untilMonday, March 23rd at 5:00am.
3.Banner/OscarStudent Information Systems:
- Friday, March20th, 6:00 PM, the Banner/Oscar Student
Informationsystem will be unavailable for user
access untilSaturday, March 21st at 12:00 PM (noon).

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
1. Buzzport
Prior toFriday, March 21st, export your BuzzPort
personalcalendar data, following the instructions
found in theHelp (?) Icon under > Calendar, Options
Tab,Exporting Calendar Data. You may thenimport
yourpersonal calendar data into your My GaTech calendar, or
othercompatible iCal client.
On Friday,March 21st, log out of BuzzPort prior to
5 p.m. The migration is expected to take untilMonday,
March 23rdat 5:00am. Do not log in to the systemuntil
that time.
2. Xtender
No specialaction is necessary by users prior to the
upgrade
Serviceswill become available as normal per the
outage timeposted above (When is the Upgrade happening)
3. Banner/Oscar Student Information Systems

My GaTechcalendar is the new campus standard for
calendaring. As other servicesmove to My GaTech,
more peoplewill be using the calendar, making scheduling
easier. Having calendar integrated into your email
allows youto use all of the applications together
