OIT has announced that they will perform maintenance on LAWN from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM, Thursday, Feburary 5, 2009. This will affect LAWN users during this maintenance period. For full details, please see the message below.

Scheduled Interruption of the LAWN Service

WHAT IS HAPPENING?
OIT is performing maintenance on the LAWN (Local Area Wireless/
Walkup Network) system.

WHO IS AFFECTED BY THIS INTERRUPTION?
All users of the wireless and wired LAWN network will be affected.
Users not connecting via LAWN should NOT experience any effects.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
The maintenance will be on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 6:00am-
7:30am.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO WHEN THE SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE AGAIN?
Business as usual. While we don't expect any needed action by the
user, a restart of the user's web browser or Internet client may
be necessary.

HOW DOES THIS ACTIVITY BENEFIT YOU?
OIT is performing this work to improve the reliability of LAWN
service in the event of a system failure.

TECHNICAL DETAILS ABOUT THIS SCHEDULED SERVICE INTERRUPTION
The LAWN support team will be testing the secondary system for
firewall failover.
