OIT has been warned of a possible cyberattack against State of Georgia computers.

Beginning at 12:00 PM, Saturday, September 24, 2011.
WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
This action is supposedly in retaliation for the execution of Troy Davis.
WHO IS AFFECTED?
It is unknown if Georgia Tech is a possible target. OIT and TSO will monitor network traffic throughout the weekend.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Users of non-TSO managed systems should ensure applications (including web applications and plugins) are up-to-date, watch for unusual behavior (unexpected increase in network traffic), and report any unusual behavior to the TSO Help Desk.
