WHAT'S HAPPENING?

TSO will be upgrading and patching the following CC domain active directory servers.

Affected servers:
nixon.cc.gatech.edu
kennedy.cc.gatech.edu
hoover.cc.gatech.edu
carter.cc.gatech.edu
gford.cc.gatech.edu

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?

June 6th, 2017, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?

These upgrades are necessary to improve security and upgrade to newer infrastructure.

WHO IS AFFECTED?

All CC domain-joined or domain-authenticated servers, clusters, and workstations. There is no expected user impact, however it is possible that authentication, DNS, kerberos, or access to adminfs file shares may be temporarily interrupted during the upgrade period.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

No user action is required prior to server patching. CC domain-bound desktop workstations may need to be rebooted when Faculty and Staff arrive June 7th.
