WHAT HAPPENED?
Multiple buildings on the Georgia Tech campus experienced a brief power outage.
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
At approximately 8:15 AM, Thursday, December 19, 2013.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
That's currently being investigated.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Affected buildings included CCB and KACB. Equipment not attached to uninterruptible power supplies rebooted. This included workstations, servers, and network switches. Proximity card readers were offline following the outage. The LAWN authentication page is offline.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Users whose directories or email clients did not reconnect or whose networking reverted to LAWN should reboot their systems. Wired LAWN and wireless GTother users should switch to GTwifi until the LAWN login page is restored.
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Most systems and door controllers appear to be back online, but TSO is still in the process of checking systems and door access.

UPDATE:
Exterior doors in KACB are not opening. Also, some elevators in KACB are not functioning, and some areas are without power. Technicians are working on the issues. If you have any questions regarding these issues, please contact kacb-building@cc.gatech.edu.
UPDATE:
All CCB and KACB doors have been returned to normal operation.
UPDATE:
Following the power outage, some CoC email began to queue and was not delivered. The queued email was released and began getting delivered at 10:45 AM, December 19, 2013.
