The CoC main web site, School web sites, and the TSO web site experienced slowness.


WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Starting Thursday morning, April 24, through 10:45 AM Friday, April 25, 2014.


WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
An external Denial of Service (DOS) attack on the http://www.cc.gatech.edu/ site caused the server to run out of memory, resulting in slower web server performance.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
All visitors of the College, Schools, and TSO web sites.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes.  The perpetrators were blocked at the campus border.
