The Deepthought and Jinx academic clusters were unavailable.
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
From approximately 8:30 PM on Friday, February 10, until 3:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 2017 .
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The clusters were unable to reach the Home Directory server, which caused logins to fail.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Any user attempting to access the Deepthought and Jinx clusters during the outage window.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.
HAS THE ISSUE BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes. TSO personnel re-exported the file system and restarted NFS, which restored full functionality.
