Beginning at 3:00 AM, Tuesday, February 3, 2009, UNIX and Linux systems that are updated by nightly.update will begin to have their /etc/resolv.conf files updated to reflect the removal of the DNS server zeon.cc.gatech.edu, as this server will soon be retired. This should not impact users of those systems. Users whose UNIX/Linux systems are not updated by nightly.update should examine their systems and update them to point to timewand.cc.gatech.edu or teleporter.cc.gatech.edu instead of zeon for DNS resolution, if needed.
