WHAT HAPPENED?
Many GT employees received "quota warning" messages and could have had issues sending email through MyGaTech/Zimbra.
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Between 11:00 PM, Sunday, April 28, 2013, and 6:00 AM, Monday, April 29, 2013.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
An error in the GT Account system caused quota reductions for GT employees.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
GT employees for whom the quota decreases put them over quota would have received the messages and could have been prevented from sending email. This would not have affected the receiving of email or resulted in the deletion of email.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action should be required at this time.
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes. OIT identified and corrected the problem.
