During the week of Spring Break, we will patch all TSO-managed Windows desktop computers, affecting the following:
o Faculty and staff desktop computers on the CC domain
o Research lab desktop computers on the CC domain
o Instructional lab desktop computers on the GTAD domain
Note: This work does not involve laptops or OutLAN computers.
These patches will require a reboot following installation, so users should save their work, logout, and leave their desktop computers on before leaving for the day. After the patching is complete, your desktop computer WILL BE rebooted even if you are logged in. An onscreen notification countdown will be displayed allowing you 10 minutes before the reboot occurs.
The schedule for patching is below:
? Monday, March 16 at 6:00 PM, Windows XP Service Pack 3 (sp3) will be made available to all affected desktop computers. This patch will cause the affected computer to reboot.
? Tuesday, March 17 at 6:00 PM, the post-sp3 patches will be made available to all affected desktop computers. These patches will cause the affected computer to reboot.
? Wednesday, March 18 at 6:00 PM, the post-sp3 patches will be made available to all affected desktop computers. These patches will cause the affected computer to reboot.
? Thursday, March 19 at 6:00 PM, the post-sp3 patches will be made available to all affected desktop computers. These patches will cause the affected computer to reboot.
? Friday, March 20 at 6:00 PM, the post-sp3 patches will be made available to all affected desktop computers. These patches will cause the affected computer to reboot.
