Beginning at approximately 10:15 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2014.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The UPS battery servicing the rack that houses the affected servers failed.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Users of the affected servers.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required at this time.
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Partially. The UPS has been placed in bypass mode until the battery can be replaced. The servers with the exception of canopus were powered back up and again were providing services by 12:45 PM, August 16. Canopus will require further troubleshooting.
