Some of the offices on the south side of the 1st floor of the CCB, CoC offices on the ground floor of the CCB, and the 1371 lab in CCB 153 lost network connectivity.

WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?

At 5:38 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2009 .

WHY DID IT HAPPEN?

A Fiber connector on one of the network switches in the 1st floor south data closet in the CCB failed.

WHO WAS AFFECTED?

Users in the aforementioned areas who attempted to access network resources.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

No user action is required.

HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?

Yes. The connector was replaced, and service was restored at 9:35 AM, Monday, October 19, 2009.
