The NFS servers cinnamon.cc.gatech.edu and rotnart.cc.gatech.edu will be migrated to new hardware.


WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.


WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
To improve security, TSO is migrating older Solaris systems to newer hardware running RHEL.


WHO IS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty and grad students who use RHEL4 and Solaris 8 servers that network mount /usr/local. This upgrade may cause some of those servers to become unresponsive, requiring a reboot.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Affected users should save their work prior to the maintenance period and be prepared for interruption during the maintenance.
