WHAT'S HAPPENING?
OIT is performing maintenance on their Web Hosting servers and also replacing the hosting.gatech.edu website. Any website using these services may have a brief outage during this period as it is transferred, and may require configuration updates after the migration is complete.


WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
The maintenance window is scheduled from 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 until 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 12, 2018.


WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
The current version of Plesk software on OIT's Web Hosting servers will be End of Life on January 1, 2019.


WHO IS AFFECTED?
Users of any campus websites that rely on these hosting services.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Before the upgrade:
-Download a local archive of any backup files you wish to keep, as existing Plesk backups will not be moved.
-Make any edits to website records, especially ensuring you are an Owner for all of your sites, at least 25 hours before the maintenance window at https://hosting.gatech.edu.

After the upgrade:
-Configure a new backup schedule.
-If self-managed, configure your DNS entries to match your new hosting server.
