WHAT HAPPENED?
A portion of the north side of the 1st floor of the CCB experienced a network outage.
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Between approximately 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM, Tuesday, July 10, 2012.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
Two of the UPS's in the 1st floor North data closet went offline.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Some wired network users on the north side of the CCB.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action should be required. Some affected users may need to reboot their machines if their home directories did not successfully remount.
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Partially. The network is back online, but TSO is investigating why the UPS's went offline.
