PRISM home directories will be unavailable.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Tuesday, October 27, 2009, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
Due to the failure of hardware components in an OIT NAS (Network Attached Storage) system, some PRISM services are functioning, but in degraded mode. The purpose of this maintenance window is to restore those services to complete functionality.

WHO IS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty, staff, and students attempting to access their PRISM home directories. This includes the default home directories mounted through ara.cc.gatech.edu and the CoC Academic clusters and ssh servers.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Users should save their work prior to the maintenance period and should be prepared for service interruption during the maintenance period. After the reboot, PRISM home directories may be accessed as usual.
