WHAT HAPPENED?
The backup server for research systems is currently offline due to maintenance.


WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
On Monday, June 21 2010, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.


WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The backup server has used all index space available and is unable to perform any more backups. The service is suspended while the largest indexes are offloaded to a different storage device.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
All CoC faculty and students.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Not yet. We expect the backup service to be restored to full functionality once the maintenance has completed. This will be at approximately 12:00 PM today.
