WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
Due to a security compromise.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
All users of the TSO Research provided Drupal, MediaWiki, and Swiki instances.

No user action is required.


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
No. TSO is working to restore the services as soon as possible. This notification will be updated later today.

UPDATE:
As of 6:45 PM, January 31, TSO has restored web services for both Drupal sites (https://research.cc.gatech.edu/) and MediaWiki sites (https://wiki.cc.gatech.edu). TSO continues restore work for Swiki sites on the following servers and expects them to be back into production on Tuesday, February 1, 2011:

- http://home.cc.gatech.edu/
- http://kingkong.cc.gatech.edu/

All Drupal, Mediawiki, and Swiki services have been relocated to much faster hardware, resulting in noticeable performance improvements.
