The web home directory server esperanto.cc.gatech.edu will be rebooted.


WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
On Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at 7:00 AM.


WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
The server had a file system error that is causing it to not allow changes to the root file system.  This is preventing several routine but critical system tasks from completing.


WHO IS AFFECTED?
No users are currently affected.  During the reboot, users will be unable to edit static web content on esperanto, including faculty and student webpages and class and project webpages.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Affected users should save any open files on the server and exit the directories prior to the maintenance window.
