Beginning at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, April 14, 2009, TSO will perform routine monthly patching of all managed Windows desktop computers, affecting the following:
Faculty and staff desktop computers on the CC domain
Research lab desktop computers on the CC domain
Instructional lab desktop computers on the GTAD domain
Note: This work does not involve laptops or OutLAN computers.
These patches will require a reboot following installation, so users should save their work, logout, and leave their desktop computers on before leaving for the day. After the patching is complete, an affected desktop computer will reboot even if a user is logged in. An onscreen notification countdown will be displayed on logged-in computers, allowing users 10 minutes to save their work before the reboot occurs.
The schedule for patching is below:
April 14 at 6:00 PM, patches will be made available to Development, CS Faculty, IC Faculty, IC Staff, and Dean's Suite Windows desktop computers.
April 15 at 6:00 PM, patches will be made available to Student Services, Facilities, CSE Staff, Communications, and HR Windows desktop computers.
April 16 at 6:00 PM, patches will be made available to all remaining affected Windows desktop computers.
