TSO will perform routine monthly patching on the cc.gt.buzz and gt.buzz Windows servers on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This patching will require the servers to be rebooted, so Windows-based services will be intermittent during the patch window. This will affect CoC faculty, staff, and students who utilize the services shown below. Staggered reboots will take place to minimize authentication and DNS resolution issues.
Affected services include:
Windows CC domain authentication
Windows DNS services
FileMaker Pro databases
ccprint print server
adminfs file shares
Update: TSO will also increase the size of the IRP stack on the file server legion.cc.gatech.edu, which provides services as adminfs.cc.gatech.edu. This is being done to address an issue that can result in the error "Not enough server storage space available to process this command" when users attempt to save large files to shares on adminfs. This is not expected to extend the maintenance window.
