The killerbee research cluster was unable to mount network home directories.
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Beginning at approximately 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 17, until 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 18, 2016.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The YP servers experienced a networking malfunction, which caused the killerbee servers to be unable to locate the correct mount point.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty and students using the killerbee cluster to access their network home directory.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.
HAS THE ISSUE BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes. After investigation by TSO staff members, the malfunction was corrected and network mounts were restored.
