The server that runs mailman was reaching resource capacity and was temporarily offline to allocate additional CPU/memory.
Affected servers: newvoreg.cc.gatech.edu
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
The outage began at approximately 4:00pm, April 3rd. The mailman service was restored and began sending mail at approximately 5:45pm, April 3rd.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
Resource utilization was high, causing the issues with mailman. TSO is continuing to monitor the performance at this time.
WHO IS AFFECTED?
Users sending mail to a mailman list may have seen delays.
Affected services: mailman
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Mail was queued during the outage and began sending successfully when service was restored. No user action should be required.
