There will be a complete shutdown of the College of Computing building's power to install new raw power feeds in the CCB Data Center.
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 25, 2011.
WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
To accommodate additional HPC clusters and other research and instructional servers in CCB 247.
WHO IS AFFECTED?
All computers and printers in CCB. Users of the systems and services housed in CCB 247, listed below.
Affected hosts/services:
CS equipment (factor, gomez, himalaya)
CompArch resources (pasta, sushi clusters, sampras)
CERCS resources (vogue, awing, warp, maquis, polymoa, iLab, hebrides, netlab, sith, versace, malay2, jupiter)
GTISC server racks
CSE resources (hogwarts, jazz, cellbuzz, sunbuzz, ion, woolybear, house, pele)
General resources (gaia, killerbee clusters, ARA - academic remote access, research server backups)
HSI server rack
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
During the maintenance, please do not attempt to login to the hosts/services that will be unavailable. Faculty and Staff who work out of CCB should shut their computers off before leaving for the day on Friday, June 24. If there are research or paper deadlines during this maintenance period that will be impacted by this maintenance, please notify the TSO Help Desk as soon as possible.
