On Thursday, June 12, 2008, beginning at 5:00 PM, TSO will be conducting a test to attempt to determine the cause of the BlackBerry services outage that occurred on June 9. During the testing, BlackBerry services may be intermittently unavailable. This will not prevent CC BlackBerry users from making or receiving phone calls. This testing is expected to be complete by 12:00 AM on Friday, June 13.

Depending on the outcome of this testing, we may need to perform additional tests. If so, that is being scheduled for 5:00 PM on Friday, June 13. We will post an announcement here when it is known whether this additional testing will be performed.

Update: The testing was completed Thursday night, and it was determined that no further testing was needed for Friday night. BlackBerry services did not go down during the testing. While this testing did not provide the cause for the June 9 outage, it did eliminate a previous configuration change as a potential culprit.
